(1) The Scanning-HIS operated normally for the entire flight. TES VALIDATION OVER OCEAN !!!
(2) The Scanning-HIS data are preliminary and will be replaced
with final calibrated datasets. Please check the data archive for the most
recent calibrated S-HIS data.
(3) The satellite product images are courtesy of the Uni. of Wisconsin-Madison
(UW-Madison) Space Science and Engineering Center (UW-SSEC) Cooperative
Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS)in collaboration with
NASA and NOAA.

The following plots represent the UW-SSEC Scanning-HIS data collected onboard the NASA WB-57 aircraft as part of the Aura Validation Experiment (AVE)
at the time of the Aura overpass near the Louisiana Coast. Note: A larger clear region in the central Gulf of Mexico should also be used for validation.
