NOTES:(updated 31 Oct 2004)
(1) The Scanning-HIS operated normally until 20:06 UTC, at which point the instrument lost signal from the calibration blackbodies. The data prior to this failure is nominal and includes the AURA overpass time.
(2) The Scanning-HIS data are preliminary and will be replaced
with final calibrated datasets. Please check the data archive for the most
recent calibrated S-HIS data.
(3) The satellite product images are courtesy of the Uni. of Wisconsin-Madison
(UW-Madison) Space Science and Engineering Center (UW-SSEC) Cooperative
Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS)in collaboration with
NASA and NOAA.

SHIS for TES Validation Spectral Images
The following images were created to demonstrate the Scanning-HIS coverage of the TES spectral bands. The images also demonstrate the importance of having a uniform scene for use in validating TES radiances.
