(1) The Scanning-HIS operated normally for the entire flight. Mix of clouds and clear over three long legs north to Kansas and back to the Houston area.
(2) The Scanning-HIS data are preliminary and will be replaced with final calibrated datasets. Please check the data archive for the most recent calibrated S-HIS data.

Scanning-HIS Spectral Plots:

The following plots represent the UW-SSEC Scanning-HIS data collected onboard the NASA WB-57 aircraft as part of the Aura Validation Experiment (AVE) at the time of the Aura overpass near the Louisiana Coast. Note: A larger clear region in the central Gulf of Mexico should also be used for validation.
