UW-SSEC Science Plots (06/11/2005)
NOTES:(updated 13 July 2005)
(1) The Scanning-HIS operated normally for the entire flight. Primary mission of flight was to overfly Tropical Storm Arlene. Bands of high and low clouds over much of the flight. The aircraft flew east over the storm and back to the Houston area.
(2) The Scanning-HIS data are preliminary and will be replaced with final calibrated datasets. Please check the data archive for the most recent calibrated S-HIS data.

The following plots represent the UW-SSEC Scanning-HIS data collected onboard the NASA WB-57 aircraft as part of the Aura Validation Experiment (AVE) at the time of the Aura overpass near the Louisiana Coast. Note: A larger clear region in the central Gulf of Mexico should also be used for validation.
